The Red Ribbon Project provides training and education workshops in sexual health. These workshops are participatory in nature, and the experience, knowledge and values of the group are explored in a safe environment. Who are they for? Anyone interested in gaining knowledge in the area of sexual health. In the past we have worked with a wide variety of interesting and challenging groups. These have included early school leavers, students, health professionals, women's groups, community development programmes, social workers, traveller groups, prisoners, youth workers, LGBT (Lesbians, Gay men, Bi-sexual and Transgender) groups and many others. How do I book training? Accessing our training or further information about our training is easy. In the first instance, contact the office, either by phone or e-mail, where you can speak with either Grainne Woulfe, our sexual health project worker, or Billie, our sexual orientation trainer, depending on the type of training you are interested in. Once details of your requirements are obtained, a detailed synopsis will be prepared for you and dates for booking can then be arranged. You can also call in person to meet with Grainne or Billie, but due to training commitments this would have to be by appointment. Is there a cost? The Red Ribbon Project is a registered charity (No. 11363) and it is necessary for us to cover the costs of providing training workshops. The charges are variable, depending on number of workshops required, the location of the training and other factors. Our rates are very competitive, and the detailed cost of a programme of workshops is provided at the synopsis stage and prior to confirming any booking. Please note that we urge anyone interested in receiving training to talk with us. In certain, special circumstances the fee's are negotiable. What is the availability of training? As our main areas of work are counties Clare, Limerick and North Tipperary, demand for training is consistently high. Advanced booking for workshops is necessary. At present a minimum waiting period of three months can be anticipated for some training programmes. If you require a once off session this may be able to be facilitated with shorter notice but it is dependent on availability of our trainers. How do I contact the Red Ribbon Project?
